Yes Kuroko, that’s more like it!
While it’s clear so far the TV series writers are using the script from the light novels, hence why Kuroko behaves more subdued compared to her crazy Manga counterpart, it still felt as though she didn’t show enough personality in the previous episode. Thankfully, they decided to flesh out the quirky side of her character more in this one.
Ah yes, we can never get enough female perverts, especially those who have enough guts to invade their target’s personal space like this. Would have been amusing if they adapted this though. ^^
Nevertheless, it’s still nice to see this conversation animated.
Kind of reminds me of a certain comment Arai Satomi (Kuroko’s seiyuu) made in Hangyaku Nikki.
Ohara Sayaka: In Japan, there seems to be a habit of licking the recorder* that belongs to the girl you like. Have the both of you experienced having your recorders licked?
Arai Satomi: Well… I thought of wanting to lick (the recorder) instead!
Ohara: SERIOUSLY!!? Coming out~♥
Arai: What? You’re laughing too much, Nori-san**!
Ohara: As one would expect of Mikko. As one would expect~
Arai: Haven’t you thought of (doing) it?
Ohara: No.
Arai: Why?
Ohara: Ehh~ Because…if you’re doing it, isn’t being (too) direct not good?
Arai: Well, when they’re not looking, (you can) secretly (do it).
Ohara: Ehh!! You did it before, didn’t you?
Arai: No, I didn’t.
Ohara: You did it, didn’t you?
Arai: Maybe.
Ohara: What do you mean by “maybe”!? You have no memories of it?

Arai: Don’t label me as a pervert.

* “Tatebue” = any kind of end-blown flute like the recorder.
** Nori-san is the person who’s responsible for handing out the scripts, letters, merchandize etc. to Ohara and Arai in the radio recording room.
Guess Kuroko and Arai are somewhat similar in terms of personality ^^. While Satomin is not as notorious as Itou Shizuka or Nabatame Hitomi, or the less active but equally naughty pervs like Nakahara Mai, she admitted before she’s occasionally a pervert despite her protest above. She’s been known to make a few yuri yuri comments including having ogled at Hirano Aya’s back (most likely during Nijuu Mensou no Musume’s recording), and a couple of times expressed her desire to bite Ohara’s neck and ears (because according to her, Saaya-nee has deliciously beautiful skin). Even so, it’s been mostly talk and no action…except maybe that one time where she succeeded in getting to Ohara’s ears but Arai claimed she was drunk then and couldn’t remember anything. :3
Anyway, this episode is a bit slow for the first half but the pace quickly picked up in the second. It seems this series still suffers from having conversations dragged out too much and a couple of redundant scenes inserted between. On the other hand, I’m just glad there’s more Mikoto and Kuroko ^^. And hopefully the next arc will be the Volume 4 arc. Needs moar Kaori’s nice body.

Yeah, I knew Kuroko has those perverted personality but was kind of disappointed in the previous episode where she first appear didn’t really turn out how the manga did. Would have made me ROFL to see it in animations…
Anyway look forward to see more of her crazy side. Hehe!
Actually, the TV series writers are following the original source (the light novels) very closely, and Kuroko’s personality in the novels is more mellow compared to her Manga counterpart. That’s why she’s not as crazy in the Anime. ^^
Still… It would have been more interesting if the TV adapted a bit of her psycho side from the Manga. Well, there are plenty of opportunities in the near future. She does become pretty crazy in the later story arcs and yes, this is in the light novels, so hopefully we’ll get a good chance of watching her perverted antics later. :)
