…and it’s more fun when you receive feedback, especially when you costume raep the most irresistible one. Mio is a very fine example of how you should NOT behave when dealing with bullies.
Sanada Asa-nee, still fabulous as ever when it comes to singing in-chara. Come to think of it, I’ve yet to praise her for her rendition of “Cosplay Angel” in Maria†Holic Episode 8.
Wonder why they switched Mio’s original present with a pair of maracas. I’ve always blindly assumed Mio bought that Jack-in-the-box for this year’s Christmas gift exchange as a way of hoping to get revenge on Ritsu. ^^;

Ritsu should let Yui have her cakes. Sugar is a widely accepted source of body fuel and we can argue it’s good brain food too…right, maybe that’s just an excuse to justify our cravings for sweets.
Hmm… I have slightly mixed feelings about this episode. I’m glad they kept most of the highlights in but they also omitted a few good ones by skimming through the New Year chapter – like Ritsu earning a hard smack from Mio when the former asked the latter about her weight gain, or them hitting the bull’s eye about how Yui spent her New Year and Yui thought they’d been peeping on her. They also tamed some scenes e.g. Sawako actually stripped Mio down to her underwear, but uh… it’s not exactly eye-friendly for the young ones watching this? Could be similar to Mio’s Hoka Hoka Gohan moment. Still, they added a few nice touches (like Ritsu’s secret photo collection for blackmailing) to flesh out many of the main scenarios and for that, I commend the writers. A light-hearted episode overall. Halfway through the TV series and the girls are already in their 2nd year. Azu-nyan, next?
PS. Completely unrelated and a very late piece of news that should have been posted weeks ago (and everyone may already know by now) – for To Aru Majutsu no Index fans, Index-tan Episode 2 is out on 29 May 2009, presuming nothing goes wrong with their release schedule for Volume 5 of their Blu-ray and DVD discs. Will we get Biri Biri-tan this time?

Indeed, this episode was very much lighthearted which feels nice considering how every other episode was somewhat sporadic and hyperactive.

Could be one of those nights when Ritsu had a sleepover at Mio’s place, assuming they do have sleepovers. I couldn’t think of any other reason apart from the fact that Mio was sleeping and was left wide open for Ritsu to snap a shot. ;)
Although…that middle photo with clothes strewn everywhere seems to induce some other thoughts in me…

It’s amusing watching Mugi’s fascination with the activities that non-ojousama’s are involved in.
Ah! This just reminded me why I find one aspect of Mio’s physical appearance appealing. She has an image of a Yamato Nadeshiko, though I can’t say the same about her lovable personality lol. Tie her hair up in a ponytail and she would look great in miko gear too. :D

I know that Russian-style winter fur hat is only supposed to suggest that Tsumugi comes from a wealthy family, but I think it makes her look even more European than I already thought she looked before (with her light-coloured hair and thick eyebrows), even if I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to be purely Japanese.
Maybe it’s just because I find her to be the “Ana Coppola” of the group, so I’m subconsciously projecting Ana’s gaijin-ness onto Tsumugi.
My thoughts exactly too. Out of all of the girls, Mugi’s hair is the only one which is distinctively different (as in it’s very light-colored). It could be her overall character design as well. To be honest, her hairstyle looks best with a pale color. :)
