Words can be like ecstasy pills. Be wary of use and dosage.

I’ll never look at twin tails the same way again.

It’s great that Mio helps Azusa and pays no mind to the consequences of her choice of words, especially when they’re directed towards a certain Demon Advisor who loves to cos-raep shy girls like her.

Ohh… Stress therapy session. ~^^~

Mugi: That’s it, Yui-chan! Feed her my cake! Expand my harem for me!

The signs of a broken club with most of their priorities wrong…but nobody said it’s a bad thing.

Funny how Ritsu’s little drama play may have caused Mio to feel left out…

…and spurred her to overcome her earlier embarrassment with cosplaying, albeit in private. Mio won’t lose!

Azusa -> Band position: Rhythm/Secondary lead guitar; Club position: Pet.

As expected, blackmailers have an extensive intelligence network. And I wouldn’t be surprised if Ritsu amassed her minions by blackmailing them first.

Yui reminds me of Nodame in many ways – technically talented, theoretically useless (no pun intended), and not to mention, they’re adorable slobs who need someone to clean up after them.

K-ON!’s original 4koma may have the characteristics of a pure comedy series but I definitely welcome the “heart” aspect of it. It brings a poignant change to the mood and flow of the story, giving its overall feel some of the wonderful emotions which are so strongly conveyed in other KyoAni productions like CLANNAD. Whilst the series is indeed about light music, I do humbly think the main theme of K-ON! itself centers more on the camaraderie between the girls, their bizarre adventures in-and-out of school, how they started out as fellow bandmates and how they grew together as friends with the club as their catalyst. If you ask me to give one reason why I love K-ON!, it’s simply that. :)
Rajion! Corner
>> Taketatsu Ayana joins the girls as a guest. Satou captures her like Ritsu did with Azusa.
>> Taketatsu originally auditioned for the roles of the 4 main girls but was given the role of Azusa instead. Back then, she hasn’t read until the chapters where Azusa debuts and thought she got the series wrong lol. When her manager told her the result, her reaction was “EH? Nakano Azusa!? I didn’t audition for that role! Who’s that???”
>> Kotobuki brings up the topic of last week’s band performance F4IL. The 3 girls blame Satou again for butchering “FUWA☆FUWA Time” and Satou tries to shift the fault again to Hikasa for not singing. Satou accuses Kotobuki of being mean to them because she was perfect with the keyboard (lolwut), and Kotobuki rightfully says everyone’s involved (therefore it’s everyone’s fault). Too bad they’re still not ready to perform. Nothing much in Rajion! this week, unless you’re interested in what Taketatsu did during her school days and how the 4 seiyuu practice their instruments at home for their weekly band task.
Onwards to more swimsuits and beaches~!
Best lolz scene ever
It’s very reassuring to know that the club’s acquisition of Azusa would mean increasing the voice of reason (that is Mio) by one. I don’t mind everyone else screwing around a bit…but sometimes they take it too far.
Luring little girls with cake…GREAT LIFE LESSON K-ON!! d(^_^)
@ 7
Indeed. The club is a near total chaos, and the only sensible person happens to be a shy victim who isn’t taken seriously despite her best efforts. At least Mugi is willing to cooperate sometimes, but the worst (and unexpected) influence i.e. Sawako had to ruin the mood. Some club advisor she is. Then again, that’s where the fun is. At least Mio has a comrade in Azusa now.
@ 53rg10
??? What life lesson would you associate with “luring little.. girls”… Oh wait… I think I know. Oh darn, I just thought of something which I shouldn’t have. (´・ω・`)
Well, I suppose it is a good tactic to get someone to join a legitimate association like a school club.
Nakano Azusa.
Caught like a bug.
Tamed by cake, tea and neko mimis.
Azu~nyan.
… Yes, I won’t look at twin tails in quite the same way now…
Azusa totally reminds me of M-K’s Kana — this is all that stops me from thinking of her like Mio’s imouto, though that would progress into sisterly hugs… hmm…
Totally glad that Mio sympathizes with Azusa and knows that the club needs to get their act together. Loved it when Mio asks them to be more serious and they nod willingly lol. Coz yeah… they were taking it a little too far I reckon XD the lazy heads — the foods gotten to their heads, shows in the last to minute blob faces they made when they were “tired” rofl~~~ could see her really annoyed when yui refed her more cake.
Ah yui… hug + “good girl” = stress relief. yosh~ yosh~
LOL Mugi’s face when yui feeds Azusa. Though.. Yui totally looked like a drug addict, gawsh XD
Ritsu trying to capture Mio’s loneliness when the attention was all on Azusa. Friendship ♥
Neko mimi mio? YESH!!! Moe x 50
Azusa’s way of eating taiyaki… dominates ayu from kanon’s almost… lol
Ah Ristu and her blackmailing…. ;D
Yui really is like Nodame o____o!! Now all she needs to do is go “GANNNN” or “Mukyaaaaa”.. Mio’s already done “GAN” for her ;D lol, episode 8.
I quite like how they displayed Azusa’s insecurity of why the keionbu is so much better than the better bands :D I was almost moved to tears on the 2nd watching coz i was paying close attention to the bgm. I WANT THE OST ASAP!!! Crying Azusa makes you “AWWWW”
Omg yay Rajion! Corner. Thanks for keeping up with this i love reading this section too :D
lolol Taketatsu Ayana sounds like lotsa fun XD
I find it interesting that the respective seiyuus are a little like their characters xD hopefully they will master fuwa fuwa time :]~~~
Except that Yui is doing all the hugging instead. ;)
ROFL! I swear Mugi put something in all of her cakes and tea.
Liked this part too. Everyone else was too busy showering attention on Azusa but at least Ritsu still tries to involve Mio…in the wrong way lol.
Definitely. I love the way Mio told her the reason she stays with them is because it’s fun. Each of them shares the same feeling and this is what holds the band together. Ritsu also played a part by suggesting to perform to remind Azusa why she joined the club in the first place. Indeed it is simple yet touching things like these which make K-ON! so worthwhile to follow week after week. :)
Seiyuu-wise, Hikasa is certainly the Mio of the group, and Satou is like Ritsu as well. Yui and Mugi IRL can be a bit mean lol, especially Toyosaki whom the rest of the girls acknowledge as their boss. They sometimes call her “Aki-sama”. ^^
