To the Beach, Once Again

K-ON! – strictly abiding by the Law which states that all loli/loli-lookalikes must and will get cuddled.

Maybe it’s because Ui has far more Yui Experience. Azusa had a slight taste of it last episode. It’s not surprising if 15 years of imouto-lovin’ by Yui is enough to condition Ui into thinking that way. Also, do not underestimate the Power of Oneesama! …or Oneechan in this case.

I wouldn’t want to say unnecessary things either, not when Ritsu seems to have ears everywhere and of course, her massive supply of extortion props.

Ritsu means well, only she doesn’t know how to say it in a believable sense.

Of all people, you’d expect a well bred like Lady Tsumugi to be reliable in a situation like this. Seems she’s gotten too used to the fun life of non-ojousama’s… Or is it because she was planning to expand her private photo and video collection all along?

Probe further into Mugi’s mindset about “playing”, and you may get an image that needs to be mosaic-ed.

I do wonder what causes these two to hallucinate on the same wavelength sometimes, sharing the same fantasies no less. Mugi should be filming this.

Sawako could tell by their tan, but oyaji(s) will always have their own double standards wrt body inspection.

Nice to see Yui actually putting in the effort when it comes to practice. Late at night no less when the others are asleep. She may have perfect pitch but she’s no prodigy, so it’s great they showed this side of her where she works to get to the level she’s at.

And the night ends with an educational bonding between fellow guitarists. I would’ve loved for them to include Ritsu’s secret late night operation somewhere.

All’s well that ends well with Azusa learning that the club isn’t just about cakes, tea and cosplay. It’s fun watching her slowly build a relationship with her seniors. She was in a rather awkward situation as a newcomer, having to endure the eccentricities not expected of a light music club, but the others are more than willing to indulge her in their fun. Ritsu especially, did her usual fantastic job as a mood-maker in helping Azusa to adapt despite provoking her most of the time. Guess it won’t be long until Azusa becomes brainwashed. :)

Brief review of the week’s episode and futsuota aside…
>> Satou spent a good part of the broadcast eating mame daifuku and couldn’t stop stuffing herself. Toyosaki got annoyed and had the food confiscated.
>> Ehhh… Apparently Tokushima’s naruto-kintoki sweet potato was bestowed a new nickname –> “Golden Potato”. Way to go, Satou~
>> Satou unintentionally offended Hikasa by calling her bass guitar “BEEKON” (ベーコン -> “bacon”) lol. The latter retorted its name is “BEEKO” (ベー子 – “bay-ko”).
>> Because the rhythm squad – Satou and Hikasa, screwed the tempo for “FUWA☆FUWA Time” two weeks ago, they were forced by Toyosaki and Kotobuki to undergo intensive training. Only the former two performed their parts this week and I have to say…they improved a lot compared to last time o_O. After their passable performance, Satou and Hikasa hit back at Toyosaki and Kotobuki, telling them it’s both their turn next week to show them what they’ve got since well…Toyosaki and Kotobuki had been taunting the rhythm squad that they got their parts right and were being pretty mean for the past two episodes.

Extra Tidbits : for folks who are interested, the K-ON! gang + Taketatsu – Kotobuki appeared as guests on Anispa! Episode 270 last week. But ugh… That guest corner was a nightmare to listen to >_>. The girls sounding as though they overdosed on sugar was tolerable enough, but I couldn’t stand that awful “live stage” gimmick the staff used during their usual Q&A session. I would’ve liked for Masumin and Washizaki to plug them into some sort of dodgy game like they did with several previous guests. Still, it’s worth a listen as you get to learn an interesting fact or two about the seiyuu e.g. Toyosaki loves Oldies Rock n Roll such as Chuck Berry, and Satou is obsessed with alpacas.
