Pancake Teatime

Video Link

Don’t ask me what on earth is that stuff Takagaki Ayahi concocted at the end :p. All I know is:
1. She was supposed to make a pancake.
2. She forgot to add eggs earlier but dumped it in later anyway (She thought the eggs were for making sunny-side-ups).
3. The finished half-cooked “cake” looked like a 3D representation of something you’d see in Kobayashi Yu’s sketchbook.

Can’t blame Shiraishi Ryouko for quipping that even okonomiyaki looks better than whatever Takagaki made. Gotta give credit for the latter’s positive thinking though lol. Anyway, the video was an episode from Stacha-Chick!, a StarChild WebTV series hosted by said two seiyuu in 2008. This ep was mostly about Shiraishi promoting her Hatch single, but Takagaki’s amzng cooking skills ended up stealing the limelight as usual (For folks who haven’t seen her nikujaga challenge, I recommend it ;) – Part 1 and Part 2). Now you know where the model reference for Regios’ Nina Antalk being FAIL at making pancakes comes from…

Original video from NicoNico. I wanted to upload and write about the ep which had Takagaki eventually whipping up an okonomiyaki (with almost disastrous results) but as my stupidity and ignorance had it, my external hard disk decided to die on me one fine day and I forgot to back up the data. Well, there goes my work of collecting Anime and seiyuu TV shows over the past years. ><

ShiinaTactix-Music – Yoko Hikasa

yhikasa

I probably speak for a group of us when we say we like Mio because of her singing vocals. I’m taking the same stand with Rinari in that my fandom slowly grew from Day 1 due to her being the lead vocalist of the group; no doubt, sparked by the addictive influence of K-ON!’s ED. And this, I largely owe to her seiyuu, Hikasa Youko.

Do As Infinity New Single – ∞1

Do As Infinity has announced their first new single since their reunion last year. Their last single was “TAO” in 2005, making this their first in nearly four years.

The single is titled “∞1″ (read as “Infinity Ichi”) and will contain a total of four songs. One will be “Timeless,” which is being used as the ending theme of the TV Tokyo show “Gekisou! GT“. The single will be released on June 17.

News from DAI’s Official Website, and quote from Tokyograph.

T’is sweet news indeed for DAI is one of my most loved artistes of all time. Was quite sad when they announced their disbandment in September 29, 2005. I mostly followed Van Tomiko’s solo career after that and many of her new singles and albums carry a similar nostalgic tune with the songs she used to perform with the band. Then again, the true magic of DAI’s music ties her powerful vocals with Nagao Dai’s compositions and Owatari Ryo’s backup vocals + guitar riffs. Here’s hoping that “∞1″ is a sign of more future releases to come.

The CD contains a total of 4 tracks. DAI’s website has partially listed the content as
> Umare Yuku Mono Tachi e
> MERAMERA
> Timeless

…whereas Neowing apparently noted “∞1″ as being one of the songs.

17 June 2009, memo. Time to start setting aside a bit of cash again…

Drags ^^

It’s one of those days where a short break is pushed into the regular schedule, hence filler.

I haven’t been lurking in the 2chan seiyuu boards much lately but it seems I should. I’m missing out on too many good things.

Happy New Year 2009!

Jumping on the Touhou bandwagon with everyone else. :D

Looking back, I guess 2008 was a particularly busy year for me due to research and academic conventions, so I didn’t have that much time to craft proper write-ups for the shows I watched. I probably didn’t watch as much as I did the previous year, and couldn’t satisfactorily judge the good, the bad, the WTF, the LOLWUT etc. hence why I decided not to do a year-end review like I did last year.

I did spend a lot of time listening to Anime and seiyuu radio as usual though, mostly because my day job involves looking at the screen for more than half the day, so radio shows are a good way of preventing my tired eyes from degrading any further. Plus, they’re also a good source of laughter e.g. LOLOL Kobayashi Yu @ Ame no Kisaki Housoubu. I’m quite tempted to do a review on radio shows instead but since not many follow them, guess I’ll stick to writing the occasional entries on them.

As for the upcoming winter series – Marimite 4, Maria†Holic, Genji Monogatari Sennenki, and Sora wo Miageru Shoujo (thinking back, Munto was pretty nostalgic for me) are on the top of my list, but I may squeeze in a few old favorites like Zoku Natsume Yuujin-chou and Minami-ke Okaeri. And of course, not forgetting ×××HOLiC Shunmuki for OVA/OAD picks.

Last but not least, Happy Anniversary to byakuya 『白夜』 white night! This blog is 3 years old today ^^. Thank You so much to all visitors who take the time to read and comment on my entries! :3

AkeOme and KotoYoro!

PS. Nice New Year’s Eve photo, Shizu-sama d(^^ ). Though, the event took place a while ago. LOL Yamazaki Michiru caught the bouquet. Guess the neutral party wins most of the time. ^^

Merry Christmas!

The day itself is almost over for me lol. Anyway, currently counting down to Marimite Season 4. Really looking forward to the continuation of the story…and to see Shouko making her proper animated debut. Also, can’t wait to hear what kind of incidents Ueda Kana and friends have to report from the recording studio now that folks like Kawasumi Ayako and Inoue Marina have joined the cast. ^^

Warmest wishes to everyone during this festive season! :)

PS. While we’re on the topic of Christmas and Marimite, do check out their Christmas Album ~La Vierge Marie Vous Regarde~. W1N.

So I kind of disappeared for a while, no thanks to my thesis and academic conventions ==||. Doing a research degree has got to be one of the worst decisions I made in my life. Well, no point abandoning a project anyway…

Now is that precious little free time I have for myself where I do not need to think about research after submitting another version of my paper’s draft, so I’ll make use of my short holiday as much as possible to wrap up the summer shows. And not to mention, sample the fall series as well…or rather in my case, the radio shows of the fall series because there’s that likely chance of coming across juicy scandalous news if the related topics presented themselves listening to seiyuu blab and perform silly mojo’s in odd show corners are t3h highlights for me.

As for Anime, I’ve started watching only Tales of the Abyss so far, because I crave for the sight of Regret and Tear. Too bad I’ll need to wait for one more episode to see Regret-neesama. :(

Gosh, a long list awaits. Time to get cracking~

A-With-OL for the rest of the week

I’m off on another academic excursion starting first thing in the morning, so won’t be updating in the coming days for this week until after the weekend. I hate seminars…… =.=||

Comment moderation is still on as usual (due to certain junk that are just unbelievably stupid, whether generated by humans or bots), but one of my friends has volunteered to monitor and approve comments. If he accidentally deletes your comment, I apologize on his behalf *waves taser at him*. In the meanwhile, I’ll try my best to log in and reply if I get the chance, but entries are postponed until after the following weekend. Speaking of which, Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations Episode 2’s review is currently sitting in the draft locker, though I doubt it’ll be a decent read after so many days. Btw, it doesn’t change the fact that the episode was, beyond my expectations, mind-blowing. :)

Onto other minor Anime related news…

Kind of old stuff, but it’s been confirmed that Marimite has a 4th season. WOO HOO!! MOAR drill i.e. Touko! And of course, Sei-oneesamaaa. Really looking forward to it!

Until next Sunday or so, have a good week everyone! ^^
