I guess my wish came true :D! And I was too ignorant for not finding out about it in the first place.
I’ve always loved instrumentals, especially if there are piano, violin or guitar versions of the songs with my top favorites being a tie between Final Fantasy and Visual Art’s/Key series. Regarding the latter, I admit I sometimes don’t feel the emotional impact of the original song but when it comes to a different musical arrangement of it, it’s a whole new experience. I initially wasn’t that fond of “TORCH” but upon listening to a slower piano version of it, I immediately grew attached to the tune. And for the main reason why I wished for an album like this – “Toki wo Kizamu Uta”. To be honest, I found its arrangement for the TV series rather bland but lyrics and melody-wise, it’s a beautiful song imho. I heard a similar melody of it in “Onaji Takami e” after getting hold of the Tomoyo After Piano Arrange Album and I must say, I absolutely loved it! To make things better, this album comes with piano sheets of the two theme songs. I can’t play the piano, but my hands are itching to try the notes on the classical guitar. The problem is, I don’t have my guitar with me at the moment. ( ̄Δ ̄)
I’m wishing hironou2525-san would do his own performance of “Toki wo Kizamu Uta” one day (watch his take on Cardcaptor Sakura’s Platina). I’m sure many fellow guitar enthusiasts and music fans alike would have heard of him. Watching his feats makes me want to quit playing the guitar all together lol (but as they always say, “Practice makes Perfect”). Wonder how many years will it take me to reach his level. ^^;;;
