Anime Adaptation of Mouryou no Hako

Got on the wagon a little late for this, but nonetheless I’m still excited about the news. Mouryou no Hako 「魍魎の匣」 (The Box of Spirits) is an award-winning supernatural mystery novel by Kyogoku Natsuhiko centered on the exploits of “Kyougokudou” Chuuzenji Akihiko (antique bookstore owner/Shinto priest), Sekiguchi Tatsumi (novelist), Enokidzu Reijirou (private investigator) and Kiba Juutarou (police detective) in solving a string of murders involving dismembered corpses that were stuffed into boxes. I have the novel and the first volume of the Manga but haven’t had the time to actually sit down and read them. I’ve skimmed through the Manga, lightly reading some pages to get the gist of the story, and discovered the premise to be rather spine-chilling and riveting. Not a series I would want to read at the dead of night. Hopefully, I’ll find the time to properly digest both of them before the Anime airs. There’s also a live action movie for it that was released in 2007.
