Background
» Introduced to my first Anime, Astro Boy, when I was 5. I thank my Mom for this.
» Started to properly delve into Anime when I was 8. I often tagged along with a relative a good few years older than me who would always watch a chunk of them after he finished his homework. Of course that was distracting when I hadn’t finished mine. My brain was first contaminated around that time when he watched Ranma ½.
» Shortly after that, managed to peek at his secret stash of Manga when he’s not home, and whaddaya know… Most of them are healthy reading materials for a teenage boy…like…basketball.
» The rest is history.
Now
» I started a regular habit of listening to seiyuu radio and viewing their live programs in 2003, and am presently spending far more time on them than watching Anime. As a result, there’s a severe lack of Anime updates on my previous blogs and this one as well. In the beginning, it was Matsuki Miyu’s hysterical cackling and screaming on the radio shows she hosted that lured my interest, but it was ultimately Itou Shizuka’s tall tales of naughty talk and escapades that got me hooked like I was high on Happy Mushrooms.
» With that said, I’d probably consider myself a seiyuu fan more than a fan of anything else (e.g. Anime) but I’m by no means, a seiyuu otaku. Sure, I spend a lot more time on seiyuu radio and live programs, subscribe to seiyuu magazines, stalk read their blogs, and lurk in their 2chan threads, but I generally don’t make the effort of finding out updates about them. So, any trivia I share now could very well be last year’s news. ^^;
» I still watch Anime but as mentioned above, not as often. I’m quite picky with my selections.
» My Anime preference tends to depend on 1) the cast; 2) the story; 3) people’s recommendations. I usually prioritize 1) so no matter how bad the series turns out to be, I would still watch it until the end.
» Been taking time to read more Manga and Doujinshi too.
» The kinds of genres I prefer are comedy, slice-of-life, action, mystery, and psychological. Shoujo and shounen are evenly fine with me.
» Four Manga artists I hold dear to my heart:
- Hayashiya Shizuru (All of her self-written Manga and Doujinshi series are t3h WIN to me)
- CLAMP (devout follower of 15 years as of 2009)
- Amano Kozue (ARIA, ’nuff said)
- Fujieda Miyabi (His stories always give me that sweet, warm and fuzzy feeling)
» Type of fictional character I like most: cool, easy-going female characters. Bonus + if they have the Ane (older sister) quality; Bonus ++ if they are perverts.
I’m just an ordinary blogger, I guess… I enjoy posting about stuffs which interest me. I used to own 2 Anime blogs » ‘Takoyaki & Ocha’ and ‘Hyousetsu’, but I’ve resigned from updating them because of my hectic schedule. Now I’m only sticking to this one which I don’t update as much but that’s okay. At least we’re having fun doing the things we enjoy, right ;)? That’s all I have to say about myself really… ^^;;;
